Ear Complaints

I'm going to complain a bunch, guys.

So for a while, I've been getting weirdly dizzy every once in a while.  I'll wake up and the room will just be spinning and it'll make me nauseous.  It usually lasts all that day and then doesn't happen again for a week or two.

So, fine whatever.  I can handle that.  It's annoying, but not the worst.
Except now, I'm starting to have pain in my ears.  And headaches.  Like every day.
I saw a doctor over Thanksgiving and she gave me some motion sickness pills to help with the dizzyspells.  But those aren't ever that bad, like I said.  Except for one time when I passed out from it, but that might have been something different, so whatever.

Anyways, I get this pain starting up in my ears and I start to worry.  So I see a doctor in Provo, and tell him I think I have an ear infection.  He looks around a little, doesn't seem to see anything, writes me a prescription for the same pills I already have and sends me away.
The only difference was he told me to take the pills every night for 5 nights.

Well the pills are making me suuuuper drowsy, all through the next day even.  So that's no fun, but it's only 5 days so whatever.  Anyways.  I got really frustrated with normal doctors, so I went to see an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist.  He didn't do too much right away, but he did give me a different prescription that I haven't filled yet.  Supposedly this one won't make me drowsy.  Whatever.

The one thing he did do is schedule some testing on my hearing, balance, inner ears, et cetera.  So we'll see how that goes.

In the meantime, I'll be taking a minimum of two ibuprofen every day to deal with this constant pain in my ears and awful migraines that make my head want to explode every time I look at something brighter than a computer screen.
